Biography

KAREN DANIELS is a well-known international autoharp player and instructor, having taught at numerous workshops and festivals throughout the country including:

She taught for a week and performed at the Sore Fingers Summer School in England early in 2004. Karen has been teaching autoharp, grades 4-12, in the Mountain View, AR, public schools in an innovative music program called “The Music Roots Program” since l998, the year of its inception. She also teaches private lessons.

In 1997, she won the Texas State Autoharp Championship as well as the International Autoharp Championship at the Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, KS, that same year.

Karen is one of 55 autoharp performers featured on a special 3 CD Set, “AUTOHARP LEGACY,” produced by Ron Wall, Bryan Bowers, and Mark Howard.

Karen’s husband, Chuck, works on autoharps as well as gives workshops on autoharp repair and maintenance.  They travel to many festivals throughout the country each year to teach and perform.  She and Chuck are both staff musicians at the Ozark Folk Center.  Karen is the Pro-Files Editor for the Autoharp Quarterly Magazine.
